I Ka
“This solo is the translation of my questioning. First of all, my questioning about the ratio of the imaginary that comes from the experienced choices : the path, is it random? Hazardous? Can I define my identity on the sole power of my mind and actions? From this question, I try to look at myself the way someone else would look at me: then, I observe how it echoes inside of me.
Three steps define this glance: the source, the origin, and the root—physicality.
‘I’ for the ‘Imaginary’, and ‘Ka’, this traditional Antillean instrument, the origin of this work about purpose, about acceptance, beyond the subjectivity of a glance.”
